Commercial partnerships

Transforming services and supporting sustainability

Working with our customers, we create and embed commissioning frameworks into our partnerships to transform services and enable sustainability.

Local authorities are looking for ways to prosper and become commercially sustainable, while lowering the cost and transforming services.

Working with our customers, we create and embed commissioning frameworks into our partnerships. This enables other public sector organisations to procure services directly through the partnership and delivers a range of benefits, including:

  • a revenue stream for the local authority to reduce budget challenges or to plough money back into delivery of local services
  • greater sustainability for the local authority
  • better collaborative working with public sector peers
  • direct and more cost effective access to procure services for public sector organisations
  • opportunities to grow services locally
  • creating employment opportunities.

Southampton and Capita Partnership

Redesigning administrative services at West Sussex County Council

West Sussex had made good progress in making changes in our back office but the partnership with Capita has enabled us to really make the savings we needed to. With Capita’s support, we now have a more streamlined and resilient administration function which was achieved without any impact on service delivery - a great example of partnership working.
